Children & Young People

Our regularly occurring provision for Children & Young People on Sundays and throughout the week.

Sparks (4-11's)

 Sunday's during St Mark's Community Church: 4pm - 5:15pm

imageActivities, games and bible teaching alongside the 4pm church service for children to have a safe space to learn at their own pace about the Christian faith.

We believe it is never too soon to start learning about Jesus; so after starting the afternoon together with the whole church family, children of preschool and primary school ages 4 to 11 are invited to join us for Sparks. The group begins each of its sessions together in St Mark's hall with a time of storytelling to explore the theme in age appropriate activities.

Please accompany your child to the hall and sign them into their session each week when directed to in the service. Younger children will be given additional support to access the activities. Your children will be brought back to you in the main building at the end of the service.

DEEP

‘Journeying through life together under the Word of God.’

imageDEEP is a weekly central bible study / discipleship evening at St Mark’s church, each Wednesday evening during term time, 7-9pm.

We start with a time of conversations and refreshments. At 7:30 we gather round tables to dive deep into God’s word – to be shaped and formed by God’s Holy Spirit together. We finish by praying for each other.

You can choose between a table for table for young people (14-18); a table for women; a table for men; and a mixed table.

Special Educational Needs

All children are special but we know that some children’s needs require a little more prior knowledge and attention so please speak to a leader if you are concerned about your child being able to access the activities / groups.

All of our volunteers hold current DBS clearance and receive training in line with section 20 of our safeguarding policy, which can be found here.
